“The Young Victoria” is a 2009 British-American
period drama film which is based on the early life and reign of Queen Victoria,
and her marriage to Prince Albert. The film is directed by Jean-Marc Vallee and
written by Julian Fellowes.
They tried to make the film as historically
accurate as possible, so they hired; costume designer Sandy Powell and
historical consultant Alastair Bruce, 5th Baron Aberdare. The
filming took place at various historical landmarks in England although some
aspects of the film were criticized for historical mistakes.
